Shawn Rubiera

Vice President of Community Engagement and Special Projects

Shawn Rubiera is the Vice President of Community Engagement and Special Projects at Accelevation. She is a founding partner of Accelevation and has helped to manage the rapid growth of its businesses.

Previously, Shawn has worked in several nonprofit organizations, start-ups and in the social entrepreneurship center at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and is passionate about building strong and vibrant connections between businesses and their communities.

Shawn has worked in both international health organizations and in corporate philanthropy. She received a BA in International Studies from Bowling Green State University.

Outside of work, Shawn is working towards making their family farm sustainable, regenerative and, maybe someday, actually profitable. She lives outside of Cincinnati, OH, with her two teenagers and husband Michael.
